SUMMER CAMP
Taking learning outdoors
Join us for a week of Marine Science camp in the morning, and exploring around the harbor in the afternoon.
This week long morning camp includes whale watches, off campus field trips, exploring the creatures of our harbor.
Journey to the Ocean AM class completes Fish and Wildlife merit badge.
Ages 11-17

About Journey to the Ocean Summer:
JTO Summer Schedule
Each day a new way to explore the creatures of the sea!
Monday: Trip to Back Bay Science Center
Tuesday: Open ocean data collecting with researchers from Orange Coast College
Wednesday*: Field trip to Orange Coast College's aquarium
Thursday**: Whale watch with Davey's locker
Friday: Fish dissection and harbor animal search
*Wednesday will require parent offsite drop off/pick up at OCC*
**Thursday will require parent offsite drop off on Balboa Island**

Paddle Sport Aquatics PM
Made as an addition to JTO Summer Camp!
This add-on camp Paddle Sport Aquatics PM calls you to a full week of on-the-water fun. This camp features canoeing or kayaking and an introduction to stand up paddle boarding.
By the end of the week, campers will complete the Canoeing or Kayaking merit badge requirements.
Campers must pass the swim test on the first day.
This camp was designed to be a perfect fit to explore the harbor after finishing up with a morning of marine science!!
