Charter School Programs & Vendor Partnerships    

 

The Newport Sea Base is an approved vendor with the following charter schools:

• Cabrillo Point Academy

• Pacific Coast Academy

• Excel Academy

• iLead Exploration

• Suncoast Prep Academy

Students from any of the above charter schools are entitled to use charter funds to pay for select classes and camps.  Some limitations may apply based on restrictions per charter school, please check with your charter school on approved classes with the Newport Sea Base before registering. To sign up, head to the actual NSB registration page for the specific class where you will see a green "REGISTER HERE" button and once inside, you will select "Charter School Student" which will allow you to complete the registration and have your child list on the official roster without paying upfront as charter funds are paid after the class starts.  If you are paying out of pocket then you would select "Non-Scout" and you would need to pay upfront to get onto the official roster.  You also need to complete the paperwork or online payment request required by your charter school so that payment gets sent to the Newport Sea Base.  You’ll want to let your charter school know the following information: title of class/camp, dates/duration, and price – all of this information will go on the Enrichment Certificate or Purchase Order that your charter school will send to the Newport Sea Base.  All payments from the charter schools are made after the first class has started, then charter schools will send payment to the Newport Sea Base 3-4 weeks after to clear the balance on your account for that specific class.

Weekday Sailing, Aquatics, and Robotics / Creative Maker's Enrichment Programs

Newport Sea Base offers weekday enrichment programs with morning project-based workshops and afternoon sailing/paddling. In general, we offer 2 day per week and 1 day per week programs during the weekdays - Tuesday & Thursday Combo (prorated option) for one day or Friday class. Newport Sea Base is an ACA accredited camp with certified instructors. Please see the schedule below for details about each of the offerings.
