The Newport Sea Base has a history of providing quality maritime programs for youth since 1937. Since then, hundreds of volunteers have contributed to our success. With a commitment to developing character, our desire is to inspire a love for the marine environment in the hearts of youth.

As a non-profit organization, the Orange County Council, Boy Scouts of America depends on its volunteers to accomplish many of its short- and long-term goals. Annually, OCBSA volunteers contribute thousands of hours. Thanks to this dedication and pride, the Newport Sea Base has become a renowned institution in the field of maritime activities for the youth of Orange County.
